LA-based dream-pop artists PWNT has truly begun to establish himself as one to watch with the release of his new single, ‘Shortcuts’. Years of working as a session musician with the likes of Adam Lambert and performing at festivals such as Coachella have matured his sound into this sunny, summery amalgamation of reverb-soaked guitars and distant, catchy vocal lines. It’s a washy tune that allows each section to almost fall effortlessly into the next, culminating in a jazzy, beautifully produced saxophone solo. He explains that he was “was chasing a cruising vibe in the feel of it all”, and has certainly hit that nail right on the head. -Dan Peeke
